I wanted to recreate the line-up across three different pages in my book and make them beautiful! I started by hand lettering the line-up but realized I needed a little more oomph after just writing the simple schedule… so I tried out some “filler-doodles.” This year, I thought I’d do it big in the journal. I’ve been going for years now, and have a blast every single time. There’s one weekend a year that I look forward to more than ANY other weekend and that’s when the Hangout Festival comes to my town! It’s a 3-day music festival where a TON of fun acts come play in Gulf Shores on the freakin’ beach. And I wanted to share with you how easy it is to create these fun patterns without even being artistic or creative. Once I finished these spreads, I couldn’t wait to share the results with you! These were so fun to make, and allowed me to just get creative without even really thinking. I decided it was time to try something a little different – to step out of my comfort zone and get a little artsy. I’ll be the first to admit, I am not a doodle expert, and really I hardly decorate my bullet journal pages other than a few colors in the mood tracker…
